Pakistan-Japan Business Seminar and
Symposium
24-25 January 2006, Tokyo
A symposium and seminar titled: Pakistan-Japan Business Seminar and
Symposium was organized at Tokyo's World Trade Center on 24 and 25
January 2006 by the Asian Club Foundation (ACF) to promote business
opportunities between Japan and Pakistan. The seminar was attended by
distinguished guests from Japanese government, business and
academic sides. The discussions focused on (1) Pakistan in the post
9-11 world; (2) Pakistan 's Economic Development Policy; (3) Obstacles
to Pakistan's Economic Development; (4) the Role of Japanese ODA; (5)
the Role of Japanese Firms and (6) Promotion of Pakistan-Japan
Relationship.
Mr. Mohammad Jehangir Bashar, Vice-Minister, Board of Investment,
Government of Pakistan and Mr. Saqib Shirazi, Member, Group
Executive Committee, Atlas Group were represented the public and
private sectors of Pakistan and presented their articles, publications and
lectures to the audience in the two day meeting.
The Secretary General of the Pakistan Association, Malik Habibur Rahman,
attended the symposium and the seminar as a representative of the Pakistani
community in Japan.
