MEMORANDUM OF ASSOCIATION OF
THE PAKISTAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, JAPAN

THE NAME:
1. The name of the organization is The Pakistan Chamber of Commerce
(Pakistan Association, Japan).
2. The registered office of the Chamber is situated at Kamata
5-21-13-210, Ota-Ku, Tokyo, Japan.
THE OBJECTS:
3. The objects for which the Chamber is established are;
A) The Chamber will promote and facilitate trade between
Japan-Pakistan and other parts of the world and shall safeguard
interests of the Pakistani business community in Japan.
B) It shall collect information on all points of business interest and
provide the same to the Pakistani business community.
C) It shall communicate with the proper authorities when necessary
in the interest of the Pakistani business community.
D) It shall promote and strengthen relations between Pakistan and
Japan.
E) To do all such other lawful things as are incidental or conducive
to the attainment of the above objects or any of them.
F) The Chamber shall contact Chambers of Commerce, Ministries of
Trade and Industries, business houses, trading firms and
manufacturers of various countries for information which could be
helpful to the members of the Chamber.
G) The Chamber shall also make arrangements to provide
information regarding import/export policies and procedures of
various countries which could be helpful to the members of the
Chamber.
H) The Chamber shall send delegations, from among the Executive
Members and the Officers, to various countries to explore business
opportunities for the members.
J) The Chamber shall also send delegations, from among the
Executive Members and the Officers, to Pakistan to play its role in
policies such as export of used Japanese vehicles to Pakistan and
the taxes and duties levied on such vehicles by the Pakistani
ministries/ departments concerned.
4. The Chamber shall provide all possible help assistance and
cooperation to the Pakistani importers and exporters in various
fields of business including interpretation, translation of documents,
transportation and arrangements of meetings etc. With their
counterparts in Japan.
The Chamber shall thus make arrangements to reduce the language
barrier between Japanese and Pakistan business houses. The
Chamber shall send delegations to Pakistan to explain to the
Pakistani business houses of such arrangements in Japan by the
Chamber.
5.The Chamber shall make arrangements to make contacts with
Japanese investors so as to enhance Japanese investment in
Pakistan.
6. The Chamber shall make arrangements to meet with the business
houses in Pakistan and assure them of The Chambers help,
assistance and cooperation to improve business relations with
Japan.
7. The liability of the members is limited.
8. The accounts shall be kept of the sums of money received and
expended by the Chamber, and the matters in respect of which such
receipts and expenditure takes place, and of the property, credits
and liabilities of the Chamber, and, subject to any reasonable
restrictions as to the time and manner of inspecting the same that
may be imposed in accordance with the regulations of the Chamber
for the time being in force, shall be open to the inspection of the
members. Once at least in every year, the accounts of the Chamber
shall be examined and the correctness of the balance sheet
ascertained by one or more authorized Auditor or Auditors.

A General Body Meeting of the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce, Tokyo
was held in Hotel Canal Park, Toyama, on 23 April 2006.
Following Officers and Managing Council members were unanimously
elected for the tenure of May 2006 - April 2008.
