Memorandum of The Association
Pakistan Association, Japan (Regd.)
MEMORANDUM OF THE PAKISTAN ASSOCIATION
JAPAN (Regd.)

1.The name of the Association is “Pakistan Association, Japan (Regd.)”.
2.The registered office of the Association is situated at 5-21-13-210, Kamata,
Otaku, Tokyo.

3.The objects for which the Association is established are:

(a) To preserve and promote religious moral and social welfare of its    
members and to encourage better understanding and unity among    
them.
(b) To promote the social, economic educational, cultural, physical and  
recreational welfare and advancement of its members.
(c) To provide assistance, information and advice regarding Japan
generally to individuals and/or organized bodies in Pakistan, and to
likewise for those in Japan, regarding Pakistan, provided always it shall
be for a lawful and worthy purpose.
(d) To promote and encourage social intercourse in Japan.
(e) To promote and hold, either alone, or jointly with any other association,
club or persons, meetings, competitions, and all lawful indoor and
outdoor games.
(f)  To support and subscribe to any charitable or public body and any
institution, society or club which may be for the benefit of the  
Association.
(g) To participate in and promote all sporting activities in Japan or
elsewhere and for any or all of these purposes to acquire, lease or hire  
playing fields, recreational grounds and other conveniences in
connection therewith.
(h) To establish and maintain libraries and also reading and writing rooms
and a reference library and to furnish the same respectively with books,
reviews, magazines, newspapers and other publications.
(i)  To provide for the delivery and holding of lectures, exhibitions, classes
and conferences calculated directly or indirectly to advance the course
of culture and education whether general, professional or technical.
(j)  To seek from and make representation to the government for the tenure
of lease of any land, property or building for the use of Association
towards the promotion of its objects and to enter into any arrangements
with the government or with any authority, supreme, municipal, local or
otherwise that may be conducive to the Association’s objects or any of
them, and to obtain from the government or any such authority and
rights, privileges and concessions which the Association may think it
desirable to obtain and to carry out, exercise and comply with any such
arrangements, rights, privileges and concessions.
(k) To co-operate with or assist any association in any way which the
Association think proper and to enter into or adopt any agreement or
arrangement with such associations.
(l)  To do all such other lawful things as are incidental or conducive to the   
attainment of the above subjects or any of them.
(m) To strengthen the Science and Technology links between Pakistan and
Japan.

4.  The income and property of the Association, whensoever derived, shall
be applied towards the promotion of the objects of the Association as
set forth in this Memorandum of Association; and no portion thereof
shall be paid or transferred directly or indirectly, by way of dividend,
bonus, or otherwise howsoever by way of profit, to the members of the
Association.
5.  The liability of the members is limited.
6.   The account shall be kept of the sum of money received and expended
by the Association, and the matters in respect of which such receipts
and expenditure takes place, and of the property, credits and liabilities  
of  the Association; and, subject to any reasonable restrictions to the  
time and manner of inspecting the same that may be imposed in
accordance with the regulations of the Association for the time being in
force, shall be open to inspection of the members. Once at least in every
year the accounts of the Association shall be examined and correctness
of the balance sheet ascertained by one or more authorized Auditor or
Auditors.
