INTRODUCTION
Pakistan Council of Science and Technology (PCST) Japan, has been established by the newly elected body of Pakistan Association Japan (Regd.). Before restructuring, it was named as Science and Technology Committee of the Pakistan Association Japan (Regd.). The Pakistan Council of Science and Technology (PCST) provides opportunity to Pakistani scientists and researchers to join PCST in line with the rules and regulations of the Pakistan Association Japan (Regd.).
Under the newly reformed organization structure of the Pakistan Association Japan (Regd.), Pakistan Council of Science and Technology (PCST) Japan, is headed by a designated office bearer as "Secretary". Secretary PCST is authorised to work under the rules and regulations specified by Pakistan Association Japan (Regd.).
PCST of the Pakistan Association Japan (Regd.) is a platform of Pakistani and Japanese scientists, researchers, engineers, doctors and IT professionals living and working in Japan, Pakistan and abroad. The Council has a strong collaboration with Japanese and international community of scientists, academicians and researchers serving in famous universities and research institutions of Japan.
PCST is in a process to establish links with UN agencies, international research groups and scientific organizations with an objective to seek opportunities for Pakistan’s young scientists and researchers to come to Japan for higher education, advanced research, training and skill development. PCST also provides professional and voluntary services in different sectors of professional expertise with an objective of strengthening the scientific education, social development and human resource development in Pakistan.
Secretary of PCST (2006-2008) Dr. Arshad Ali (University of Tokyo) is designated as the "Secretary" of Pakistan Council of Science and Technology (PCST) Japan.
Office of PCST: The head office of Pakistan Association Japan (Regd.) at KAMATA provides all sort of office facilities, equipment and related services to the "secretary" for efficient functioning of PCST.

Pakistan Association Japan (Regd.) reserves right to make more changes in the organizational set up of PCST in order to increase its efficiency.
