Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Pakistan Association Japan (Regd.) and Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) to promote tourism industry of Pakistan to Japanese Tourists.
A graceful ceremony to sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Pakistan Association Japan (Regd.) and Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) was held on 20th September 2006 at the office of the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce (Regd.) Kamata, Tokyo. The Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) and Pakisan Association Japan (Regd.) make an agreement to intensify the existing cooperative relations between both organizations, specially to promote tourism development to attract Japanese tourists to visit Pakistan.
The Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab Limited (TDCP) is a Public Limited Company owned by the Government of Punjab. Its main objectives is to promote and develop Tourism Industry in Pakistan. Pakistan Association Japan (Regd.) is the only registered organization of Pakistani community living in Japan. The Association is working in Japan for the interest of Pakistani community for more than 40 years.
The area of cooperation includes to start programs to foster and develop the cooperative relationship with Japanese tourists and organizations of cultural exchange. Other areas of cooperation include:
Promotion of Pakistan's tourism industry in Japan
Exchange of information material and printed brochures for wider circulation among Japanese potential tourists.
Organizing events of tourism devleopment and cultural exchange.
Offering short term academic programs on toursim, cultural heritage and environmental tourism specfic to Pakistan for Japanese tourists.
Organizing joint seminars and conferences on tourism development in Pakistan and Japan
The Pakistan Association Japan will provide the office space and computer facilities to the visiting staff of TDCP in Japan without any cost.
Research and Development will be offered for Japanese students in the field of tourism in Pakistan.
Other activities as deemed mutally appropriate.
